Demon’s Souls remake developers have spoken about their new and highly anticipated unannounced project. This information came from Peter Dalton, Head of technology at Bluepoint Games, who was asked about the project currently in development. Demon’s Souls Remake will be available on November 12, 2020 at 12 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Excited by my progress, I ran down a stairwell to a nearby shortcut, took a wrong turn, and fell to my death. I could have easily walked into the boss room from the respawn point, but I was determined to retrieve my lost souls. Because I had died before actually unlocking the next shortcut, that meant having to risk going through the entire level again. It was ultimately a point of pride, and in a Soulslike game, pride and headlong actions are what get you killed. In fact, to give an example, when I took control of the main character in this bye, I felt like Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne, which means very fluent and good-natured. It is the same even in battles, and the improvement of the animations of hitting and dodging, etc., has made you have much more control over the fights.
All of this is taken to new heights of immersion through the DualSense controller. The haptic feedback adaptive triggers pair with the 3D audio in superb fashion. It’s one thing to watch as your character strikes down the undead and impales a skeleton, it’s another to completely hear and feel the difference. Every sword strike and spell blast feel instantly recognizable, while even the creaking of a chain-operated elevator or the pattering of rain add to the overall immersion. It really has to be felt to be understood but the DualSense finalizes this game as having the best gameplay of any “Souls” title. Demon’s Souls Remake feels positively slow compared to other games from developer FromSoftware — and it’s still a very challenging game.
Various weapons and magic can be used to fight enemies while different pieces of armor worn for defense. Shields can also be equipped to block or parry incoming physical attacks. Casting spells and miracles require tools such as catalysts and talismans.
Just around the corner near the execution platform where you’ll see a cage on the ground, look around the corner to find another slope. Head down to find a body that you can loot to find a Blue-Eye Knight Helm. If you continue going up the slope, five more black phantom Dreglings will appear. Once you’ve defeated them, you’ll be able to loot the body the enemies were guarding to find x1 Renowned Warrior Soul. The Short Sword is by far the shortest sword in the game and will require some close combat to get some hits in. It also deals the least amount of damage compared to the upcoming weapons on the list. It can, however, be used by any build that a player decides to go for and can be made to scale off almost any stat except for luck. As an added bonus, players can use this weapon to create the Morion Blade.
If you’re visiting an area for the first time, observe bloodstains to see how other players died, and take heed from messages scrawled on the ground. Keep in mind you’ll need to play online to get helpful hints from other players. For example, the miners in Stonefang Tunnel are weak to piercing weapons like rapiers, and Phalanx is weak to fire (hence why you get so many firebombs in the game’s first level).
While going through the same sections repeatedly may sound tedious, Demon’s Souls’ high difficulty ensures that it never gets repetitive or boring. Players will learn from their mistakes each run and make a little more progress every time, which can be incredibly rewarding. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the environments players have to continuously go through look absolutely stunning, with brilliant lighting effects, highly-detailed textures, and some truly jaw-dropping sights. Out of all the early PS5 games, Demon’s Souls is the one that looks the most “next-gen,” and by a considerable margin.
This of course does not include the multiplayer aspects, which should add at least another 100 or so hours of gameplay in most cases, and likely more if you are a Souls fan who likes to co op and pvp a lot. Second, the camera angle is at its worst when you need it the most. This is nothing new to Souls games, so this probably won’t come as a shock to many of you.
